Held for the first time in 1998 the Festival of homemade bread reaches this year its 19th edition. Here is the complete program of the festival on PANI bills IN DOMU to be held in Villaurbana from Friday 28 October 2016 to Sunday 30. Friday 28 hours 10:00-Bakery workshop at the "Elementary" school at 21:00-"The Festival of Youth" with the blueberry Group, performances of the School of Dance La Sylphide and to follow Dj set curated by the Youth Council of Villaurbana at Piazza del Common. Saturday 29 hours 12:00-opening demonstrations, stands and tastings along the route-opening of the museum "Fainas" at the house Museo del Pane at 16:00-start tasting Suppas, Pani Frittu, Pani indorau and sale of homemade bread and typical products for The streets of the old town. -Opening exhibition artistic competition "bread as…" At the Via S. 8:30 a.m.-Departure Mountain Bike ride "cycling through the Nuraghi"-Departure trekking excursion "The streets of Mount Arci". 10.00 a.m.-opening exhibition at Casa del Pane, start of demonstrations and tastings along the way 12:00 p.m.-opening lunch at the stands and beginning of musical entertainment at 16:00-start tasting of typical bread, Suppas, pani Frittu, Pani Indorau. -Beginning of musical animation along the streets of the Historical center with exhibition of the groups from Kenya and Armenia. 4:30 p.m.-Laboratory of Taste "discovering quality bread". In the "Taste Laboratory" (morning session and afternoon session, participation with a contribution of €10 per person) in the company of Dott. Tommaso Sussarello The sensory characteristics of natural leavening loaves will be analysed. At the end of the laboratory the participants will be able to recognize without embarrassment a bread with natural fermentation and the possible advantages and defects. The food and wine journalist Gilberto Abella will also be addressing the theme: "Typical products of the territory, a resource for rediscovering and enhancing their identity".
