The 29th and 30th October 2016 autumn in Barbagia makes a stop in Aritzo for the 46th Festival of chestnuts and hazelnuts. In addition to savoring the local products and walking among the typical houses in shale and mud of the old town, observing the art of wood proposed by craftsmen, we recommend to visit:

• The Old Spanish prisons: an eighteenth-century building characterized by a high-arched underpass called "sa Bovida" or the vault. Its cells are oggiutilizzate as exhibition spaces for the setting up of "Bruxas", an exhibition dedicated to magic and witchcraft, which includes a section on the Inquisition in Sardinia between XV and XVII century.
• The parish church of San Michele Arcangelo built in the 14th century in Gothic-Aragonese style, in some parts with ashlars of Trachyte of Fordongianus.
• The house Devilla which houses a permanent exhibition of carved crates.
• The Abdullah Castle
• The Museum of the Sardinian Mountain or of Gennargentu that hosts an ethnographic collection of more than three thousand exhibits.
